I Critics Choice Awards 2021 sono andati in scena, questa notte, con Taye Diggs a presentare un’inedita cerimonia parzialmente in presenza e, soprattutto, in virtuale. Il film Più bello dell’anno? Nomadland di Chloe Zhao, la vera trionfatrice della serata, che pone una seria ipoteca sull’Oscar.

A chi sono andati gli altri premi?

Grande successo di Netflix con The Crown, Tra gli attori, vince un nuovo meritato premio postumo Chadwick Boseman per Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, mentre la miglior attrice è Carey Mulligan con la sua performance in Promising Young Woman. Migliori attori non protagonisti Daniel Kaluuya in Judas and the Black Messiah e Maria Bakalova per Borat – Seguito di film cinema. Tre sono i premi vinti da Ted Lasso eletta miglior serie comica, con Jason Sudeikis e Hannah Waddingham miglior attore e miglior attrice non protagonista. A Palm Springs, infine, il titolo di miglior commedia dell’anno.

Emma Corin è la rivelazione dell’anno. Dopo la vittoria ai Golden Globe, la sua interpretazione per Lady Diana in The Crown, le ha fatto vincere anche i Critics Choice Awards.
