Il cantante Macklemore ha pubblicato un freestyle in cui sgancia pesanti bombe contro Trump, l’eredità da lui lasciata all’America ma, anche, contro Joe Biden, ovvero l’ennesimo Presidente “bianco”.

Ha già raggiunto 1,8 milioni di visualizzazioni su Instagram e più di 100k su YouTube il freestyle caricato da Macklemore. Perché così tante views? Semplice: perché nel video il cantante “licenzia” Trump e non risparmia le parole neanche per il neo-Presidente eletto Joe Biden. Nel testo, le rime incalzano la pesante “eredità” lasciata da Trump all’America che, nonostante sembri aver cambiato pagina, rimane ancora “Armed, dumb and dangerous”, ovvero “Armata, stupida e pericolosa”. Macklemore ricalca, poi, gli “spiacevoli” e recenti avvenimenti che hanno turbato Capitol City, chiamando coloro che sono stati difesi in qualità di “Patriots”, come “Terrorist”, ovvero terroristi che hanno macchiato la democrazia statunitense.

Who’s fine, we just hold our breath when he opens his mouth”, riferendosi, quindi, al fatto che l’America guardi al futuro capeggiata da un altro Presidente “bianco”. Infine, Macklemore si rivolge, non solo all’America, bensì a tutto il mondo. Il testo cavalca l’onda della speranza che tutti noi nutriamo per un 2021 diverso, che spazzi via la nebbia di morte e tristezza in cui la pandemia ci ha avvolti. Tuttavia, come il cantante ci ricorda, il virus è ancora contagioso, l’odio esiste e l’America è quella di sempre.
