I Rolling Stones svelano “Scarlet”, una traccia inedita con Jimmy Page dei Led Zeppelin, registrata dalla band nell’ottobre 1974, è un numero blues-rock con un groove da capogiro.

Il frontman Jagger ha ricordato “la prima volta con Jimmy e Keith (Richards) nello studio sotterraneo di Ronnie (Wood)”. “È stata una grande sessione”, ha dichiarato la star di 76 anni in una nota.
Il chitarrista Keith Richards ha aggiunto: ” Il mio ricordo è che siamo entrati alla fine di una sessione degli Zeppelin. Stavano andando via, dopo eravamo prenotati noi e credo che Jimmy abbia deciso di restare. In realtà era fondamentalmente per una demo, una dimostrazione, sai, ma è uscito bene, con una line-up del genere, sai, meglio usarlo. ” In una serie di tweet, Page ha rivelato che la loro sessione di jamming si è trasformata in un “lock-in”.
“Keith ha dato il via e ho iniziato a plasmare un riff intorno alla sua parte di chitarra per migliorare l’accordo”, ha detto del processo creativo.
“Mi sono divertito molto a lavorare con Keith.”
Scarlet apparirà sulla prossima ristampa del 4 settembre dei veterani del rock dell’album del 1973 “Goats Head Soup“.
