Spirit Awards 2022: “A Chiara” candidato come miglior film

La 37a edizione dei Film Independent Spirit Awards torna con un evento in presenza che si svolgerà sulla spiaggia di Santa Monica sabato 6 marzo, a sole tre settimane dalla notte degli Oscar.

Quali titoli hnno ricevuto le maggiori nomination agli Film Independent Spirit Awards?

Molte le conferme rispetto alle nomination dei Golden Globes e dei Critics Choice, con A24 da record per le 13 nomination totali di C’mon C’mon, Zola, The Humanse Red Rocket.

L’italia agli Independent Spirit Awards

Per l’Italia una blla notizia è la candidatura a Miglior film per A Chiara di Jonas Carpignano! Il film ambientato nella località calabrese di Gioia Tauro ha anche ricevuto una nomination al Miglior montaggio e alla Miglior fotografia, mentre il sestetto al Miglior film internazionale vede Compartment No. 6, Drive My Car, Parallel Mothers, Pebbles, Petite Maman e Prayers for the Stolen. 

I film in gara

I premi Film Independent Spirit limitano i budget dei film a $ 22,5 milioni o meno per essere idonei, motivo per cui alcuni altri nomi indipendenti di alto profilo non sono in lizza.

Le registe candidate

Sono ben quattro le registe candidate per la miglior regia, ovvero Janicza Bravo per Zola, Maggie Gyllenhaal per The Lost Daughter, Lauren Hadaway per The Novice e Ninja Thyberg per Pleasure.

Josh Welsh

Welsh ha affermato che il 44% degli sceneggiatori e dei registi nominati si sono donne e il 38% come BIPOC. Del comitato di nomina, il 63% si è identificato come donna,il 56% come BIPOC.
