JAKJU esce con l’album d’esordio NEVER GO POP il 28 giugno

Dopo il singolo “Mayor” ora è il momento per Jakju di pubblicare “Never Go Pop”, un mini album di debutto estatico in uscita il 28 giugno. Si tratta di progetto di pop elettronico a metà tra Phoenix e A.G. Cook. Andiamo a saperne di più sull’artista e a conoscere i testi delle canzoni che compongono l’album d’esordio.

Chi è Jakju?

Dopo anni passati ad attraversare le strade e a divorare concerti indie rock come batterista dei Brace! Bretelle! e Avions, Simon Lapillonne, un lavoratore diligente e musicista dai molteplici talenti, svela un aspetto completamente nuovo sotto lo pseudonimo di Jakju.

È attraverso le sue avventure nelle band che costruisce gradualmente la sintesi delle sue numerose influenze e rivendica una musica pop orientata al futuro. Come produttore ingegnoso e cantante dal cuore aperto, mette la sua esperienza ritmica al servizio di melodie implacabili, confondendo le linee in una gioiosa cacofonia di beep, boop e slot machine. Musicalmente segnato dai suoi idoli di ieri (con i Beach Boys in prima linea), Jakju trae anche una parte significativa delle sue influenze dai contemporanei, in particolare A.G. Cook (fondatore di PC Music) e Daft Punk.
