Questa mattina gli Independent Spirit Awards hanno annunciato le sue nomination al cinema e alla televisione.

Chi ha ricevuto più nomination agli Independent Spirit Awards?

In testa alle candidature, con otto, il blockbuster d’essai Everything Everywhere All at Once con Michelle Yeoh (in Italia con I Wonder). Subito dietro c’era “Tár” di Todd Field con sette e “Aftersun” di Charlotte Wells con cinque.

Bones e All

Bones e All di Luca Guadagnino ha avuto tre nomination. Il film con Taylor Russell (vincitrice del Premio Marcello Mastroianni per la migliore attrice emergente a Venezia) e Timothée Chalamet (candidato all’Oscar e al Golden Globe come migliore attore per Chiamami col tuo nome), in sala in Italia dal 23 novembre distribuito da Vision, è stato candidato per il miglior lungometraggio, la migliore interpretazione protagonista per Taylor Russell (categoria ormai senza genere) e la migliore interpretazione non protagonista per Mark Rylance.

Le sorprese

Alcune delle grandi sorprese sono state l’esclusione per “The Whale” di Darren Aronofsky e del suo miglior attore protagonista Brendan Fraser. Altre stroncature degne di nota sono state la straordinaria interpretazione di Danielle Deadwyler in “Till” di Chinonye Chukwu, oltre a “Armageddon Time” di James Gray e la recitazione di Jeremy Strong. “My Policeman” di Michael Grandage non è stato in grado di ottenere nomination di supporto né per Emma Corrin né per Harry Styles.
