Gotham Awards 2022: Everything Everywhere All At Once ha vinto il premio per il miglior lungometraggio alla 32a edizione dei Gotham Awards, che sono stati assegnati al Cipriani Wall Street di Manhattan.

Michelle Yeoh recita nella foto di A24 nei panni di una proprietaria di una lavanderia a gettoni molto nervosa che viene controllata dall’IRS che scopre che esistono migliaia di versioni di lei in un vasto multiverso.

Miglior attrice

Danielle Deadwyler ha vinto la Miglior interpretazione da protagonista per aver interpretato la madre di Emmitt Till in Till della United Artists Releasing/Orion Pictures, battendo Cate Blanchett in Tár e Everything Everywhere di Yoeh, tra gli altri. Deadwyler non ha potuto partecipare alla cerimonia, quindi il regista Chinonye Chukwu ha accettato per lei.

Sceneggiatura

Todd Field ha vinto per la Migliore Sceneggiatura per Tár, il dramma della Focus Features interpretato da Blanchett nella storia fittizia del direttore d’orchestra Lydia Tár, che è arrivato alla serata con ben cinque nomination.

Premi TV

Per quanto riguarda la TV, Pachinko, il dramma di Apple TV+ del creatore Soo Hugh, ha vinto per Breakthrough Series – Long Format (oltre 40 minuti), e Mo di Netflix, creato e interpretato da Mohammed Amer e Ramy Youssef, ha vinto il premio Breakthrough Series – Short Format.

Grande assente

Grande assente della serata Steven Spielberg, che avrebbe dovuto presentare un premio speciale a Michelle Williams: il regista di The Fabelmans ha il covid, e al suo posto Paul Dano è salito sul palco per premiare la collega.
