Steven Spielberg in precedenza aveva vinto il premio come miglior regista per The Fabelmans – il suo terzo Globe in carriera su 20 nomination – e lo sceneggiatore e regista di Banshees of Inisherin Martin McDonagh ha vinto la migliore sceneggiatura per andare con la vittoria del miglior attore di Colin Farrell, dando a quel film tre trofei principali nella classifica notte.

La stagione dei premi da sogno per Farrell, Cate Blanchett e Michelle Yeoh è proseguita stasera con le rispettive vittorie come miglior attore e attrice in un film drammatico e come migliore attrice in un film commedia/musical. Gli ultimi due hanno vinto rispettivamente per Tár di Focus Features e Everything Everywhere All at Once di A24.

Eddie Murphy
Eddie ha ritirato il Golden Globe alla carriwera, e parlando dello stato delle commedie ha detto: “Non saprei dire, sei venuto troppo duro per la prima domanda”, ha scherzato, “Penso che la commedia vada bene. Ci sono un sacco di persone divertenti là fuori. C’è una piattaforma più grande per fare commedie. Va tutto bene.
Will Smith
Murphy ha continuato e ironizzato su Will Smith: “Fai solo queste tre cose: paga le tasse, fatti gli affari tuoi e tieni il nome della moglie di Will Smith fuori dalla tua fottuta bocca”.
Kevin Costner
Kevin Costner ha vinto ieri il Golden Globe come miglior attore in una serie televisiva drammatica per la sua performance in Yellowstone, ma non era presente. Il motivo? ecco le sue parole: “Mi dispiace molto per tutti coloro che si stavano sintonizzando per guardare i Golden Globes. Io e Chris non potremo essere presenti. Ieri abbiamo dovuto ritirare i bambini da scuola a Santa Barbara. È la seconda volta in cinque anni che le autostrade della città si allagano e ci siamo ritrovati dalla parte sbagliata della città e ieri sera non siamo riusciti a tornare indietro. Stamattina, con le autostrade chiuse, non siamo nemmeno riusciti a tornare a casa in tempo. Non c’è nessuno più triste di noi per non essere presente ai Golden Globes“.
