Era l’evento più atteso per quanto riguarda le selezioni nazionali per l’Eurovision Song Contest 2018 e stiamo parlando del Melodifestivalen. La televisione pubblica svedese, la SVT, ha tenuto questo sabato 10 marzo la grande finale del concorso in cui si è scelto il rappresentante del paese nordico che sarà in gara a Lisbona durante la comptizione musicale più importante a livello europeo.
Un totale di sei serate (quattro semifinali, un ripescaggio ed una finale), tutti seguiti dagli eurofan, sono stati necessari per scegliere il portabandiera svedese che il prossimo maggio salirà sul palcoscenico dell’Altenice Arena di Lisbona (Portogallo).
La canzone che Benjamin porterà in scena a Lisbona, ha superato sia il voto della giuria del pubblico che quella della giuria internazionale, segnando 181 punti, 23 in più rispetto alla canzone di Felix Sandman dal cuore cupo di “Every Single Day2. La più grande popstar della Polonia, Margaret è arrivata terza per le giurie ma poi è scivolata al settimo posto in classifica generale.
Benjamin Ingrosso è un nome familiare in Svezia. Ha raggiunto la notorietà nel 2006 quando ha vinto la versione Junior della competizione inoltre ha vinto l’equivalente svedese di Let’s Dance nel 2014. È entrato nel Melodifestivalen nel 2017, arrivando quinto con il brano “Good Lovin” e quest’anno per la seconda volta lo vede partecipare al Melodifestivalen 2018 vincendolo e così rappresentare la Svezia all’Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
