Nella giornata di ieri sono state annunciate tutte le nomination per il premio televisivo più importante dell’anno, gli Emmy Awards. La cerimonia degli Emmy 2020 si terrà il 20 Settembre a Los Angeles. Sorpresa dell’edizione, si è rivelata la serie Watchmen che ha ottenuto ben 26 candidature seguita da Marvelous Mrs. Maisel con 20 candidature. Ozark e Succession hanno conquistato entrambe 18 candidature. Gli Emmy, in questo 2020, hanno portato molte sorprese e molti colpi di scena. La candidatura di The Mandalorian ha segnato un cambiamento di rotta e un avvicinamento alle nuove piattaforme streaming. Deludente la mancanza di Westworld come miglior serie drama e un sorprendente gruppo di volti noti di Hollywood nella categoria miglior attore in una miniserie o film tv. A dominare è Netflix con 160 candidature, seguito a ruota dalla HBO a quota 107.
